Workflows

Create and Collect a Manual Customer Invoice

Use the receivables workspace for authorized invoices that do not originate from a sales order or dental-lab posting.

Before you start

Available actions depend on role, record status, company configuration, and subscription. Work in the correct company and review every validation message before continuing.

Recommended operating sequence

  1. Open Customer Invoices & Collections and select the customer from the command search.
  2. Review AR balance, credit limit, advances, and net position before creating a transaction.
  3. Open Create & Tools, then choose Add Manual Invoice.
  4. Complete the invoice identity, date, due context, lines, quantities, prices, discounts, and applicable tax fields shown by the editor.
  5. Review legal and tax readiness when e-invoicing controls are enabled, then save or issue using the action available to your role.
  6. Confirm the invoice appears in the customer invoice list and preview the document if needed.
  7. Use Auto Allocate Payment or Record Advance when money is received, then capture the instrument and reference required by the form.
  8. Verify the remaining balance, treasury movement, receipt document, and accounting source link.

Modules

Verify after completion

  • Confirm the final record status and generated document.
  • Review the downstream module instead of assuming the handoff succeeded.
  • For finance activity, verify source, treasury, and ledger context as authorized.
  • Use the official correction or reversal path when an error is found.
