ProfitLens is a cloud business operations platform provided by Somar (“we”, “us”, “our”). For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Somar acts as the data controller for account, billing, and platform operation data described in this policy.

When you use ProfitLens on behalf of a company, that company is generally responsible for the business content entered into its workspace (for example client records, employee data, orders, and financial entries). Somar processes that content on the company’s instructions to provide the service.

Workspace data generally remains available while a company subscription is active. After cancellation or termination, we may retain or delete data after a reasonable period unless a longer retention period is required by law or requested export/backup obligations apply.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, including authenticated access, tenant-scoped data separation, and provider security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and configuring appropriate user permissions inside your workspace.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data where applicable), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

Workspace users should contact their company administrator first for employee or portal data managed inside a company account. Account holders and billing contacts may contact support@profitlens.ae for platform-level requests. We may need to verify identity before responding.

ProfitLens is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, preferences, security, and basic service functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings where supported. Disabling certain cookies may affect sign-in or portal functionality.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
